My Other Half

I finally get back on the blog wagon!  This morning I thought I would take a few minutes to brag about my other half…husband and horse trainer, Billy.  We met over 14 years ago, in the small town of Meeker, where we still live and raise our family.  Billy started out his career with horses on his Grandfather’s cattle ranch.  As early as the age of 12 he was starting colts and breeding horses on the ranch.  Fast forward to 1996 – where we met at a horse clinic – me with my English hunter-jumper mare – and Billy on his red roan quarterhorse.  Since that time Billy has had great success combining his western, colt starting talents with a love of the English world of jumping and horseshows.   He spends most of the year on the farm riding lots of horses each day, as well as teaching lessons.  He as a loyal following of little kids as well as adults that he works with - combining the basic mechanics of riding with the unique psychology of horses.  He spends the coldest winter months of January through March at a wonderful horse facility in the desert of Palm Springs, California.
